RN Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Educator to join our hiring partner (home health) in Boynton Beach, FL. As an RN Educator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous professional development of the nursing staff. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of the nursing team, with a focus on delivering high-quality home health care services.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, addressing areas such as clinical skills, patient care, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.


2. Conduct orientation programs for new nursing hires, ensuring they are familiar with agency policies, procedures, and best practices.


3. Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess the ongoing educational needs of nursing staff and tailor training programs accordingly.


4. Provide hands-on training and support to nurses, including conducting in-service sessions, workshops, and simulations.


5. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in healthcare regulations to ensure that educational programs are current and aligned with standards.


6. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through assessments, feedback, and performance reviews.


7. Assist in the development and review of policies and procedures related to nursing practice and education.


8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate interdisciplinary training sessions and promote a collaborative care approach.


9. Serve as a resource for nursing staff, offering guidance on complex cases, new procedures, and evidence-based practices.


10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the home health agency.

Qualifications:

1. Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.


2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.


3. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in home health 


4. Prior experience in nursing education, training, or staff development is firmly required.


5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to home health.


7. Ability to assess learning needs and develop effective educational programs.


8. Proficient in using technology for educational purposes.
