growing facial plastic surgery practice looking for a highly motivated
receptionist. Receptionist must be able to provide personalized attention to detail for our
patient experience. Must possess a positive, team-oriented attitude where patient care
and satisfaction are the number one priority. This position will work closely with our
Practice Assistant and Practice Manager/Patient Care Coordinator. Responsibilities
include but are not limited to the following.
Answer the telephone, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages in a
promptly manner. Ensure that all requests for information are addressed
promptly and effectively.
Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Check-in
patients, verify and update necessary information for patients' medical records.
Maintain work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner. Oversee waiting area,
coordinate patients' movement, reporting any problems or irregularities.
Schedule appointments in person, over the telephone and our online/email
Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying appropriate personnel of
patient's arrival. Anticipate and manage delays to optimize patient's satisfaction
Comfort patients by anticipating patient's requests and providing solutions during
times of unforeseen circumstances.
Pull, file and purge patients' chart as necessary. Assemble and organize new
patient files and information packets. Assemble charts for next day patients'
visits. Update patients' information as needed.
Verify Brilliant Distinctions reward points and post points to patient's accounts.
Call in prescriptions to pharmacies as needed. Respond to patient's requests for
medical records. Type and print labels for surgical patients
Ensure mail is opened and processed and that office is opened and closed
according to procedures. Prepare FedEx and UPS packages ~s needed
Review, print and distribute faxes appropriately
Assist with check out when needed - process payments and issue receipts, post
payments in NexTech.
