Microbiology Lab Manager

A mid-size and growing in-network full service laboratory in Boca Raton, Florida is seeking a Laboratory Manager to help move the business forward with sound scientific, operational and financial strategy.
In this role, you will be overseeing all operations to include laboratory (both clinical and R&D). This would include the chance to oversee and manage a staff of approximately 8-10 direct reports. This is more than your average Laboratory Manager role, in that we need someone who is both an experienced lab operations executive and has some sense of business acumen that will permit sound financial and strategic decision-making on a daily basis to the benefit of the overall operation. For this reason, you will be an ideal candidate for this role if you already possess ample lab or lab management experience but also experience in making broader strategic and operational decisions at an executive level. This position will report directly to company owner and COO.

Basic Preferred Profile:
· Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (FL) – Microbiology, Serology, Molecular Pathology, Hematology, Immunohematology, Clinical Chemistry.
· 8-10+ years’ experience in clinical laboratory management.
· Vision to identify new areas of testing and ability to maximize use of current instruments and staff.
