Title: Lift Station Coordinator


 


Job Description: Under the direction of the Area Supervisor, the Electrical Supervisor oversees and performs skilled work at the journeyman level, focusing on the installation, maintenance, alteration, and repair of electrical systems, generators and pumps, controls, and associated equipment, adhering to established trade practices. Additionally, the Electrical Supervisor supervises Lift Station Technicians and their helpers, as well as Service Technicians, while executing electrical tasks in line with standard trade practices. Assignments are typically project-based and may involve planning and coordination.


 


 


Responsibilities:



  • Supervise Lift Station Technicians, Technician Helpers, and Service Technicians.

  • Perform skilled electrical assignments in compliance with trade standards.

  • Execute installations, maintenance, alterations, and repairs on electrical systems, generators, pumps, controls, and related equipment.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

  • Coordinate with other team members to accomplish project goals.

  • Provide guidance and support to subordinate staff.

  • Assist in project planning and scheduling.

  • Report project progress to the Area Supervisor.

  • Maintain records of work performed and materials used.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions.

  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.


Qualifications:



  • Journeyman-level proficiency in electrical work.

  • Prior experience in supervisory roles preferred.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, generators, pumps, and controls.

  • Familiarity with standard practices of the electrical trade.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various conditions.

  • Willingness to adhere to safety standards and regulations.


This is a full-time position based in the Collier County/Naples area of Southwest Florida.





 

 


 










 

Required Qualifications :

Typical Qualifications:


Knowledge:  Thorough Knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools, and materials of the electrical trade; thorough knowledge of local and national electrical codes; thorough knowledge of local and proper safety precautions of the electrical codes; thorough knowledge of the hazards and proper safety precautions of the electrical trade.
Skills:  Safely utilize tools, materials, and standard equipment of the electrical trade; ability to troubleshoot and locate needed repairs in electrical systems, motors, and controls.
Ability to:  supervise licensed Lift Station Tech and Tech Helpers; work from specifications, drawings, and blueprints; estimate the time necessary to complete a job and to estimate the amount of materials required.


  


Acceptable Training and Experience:


·High school diploma or equivalent,   and at least 10 years experience at journeymen's level in the Water and Sewer field including electrical.





 Preferred Licenses, Certifications and Registrations 


·Class 3-4 Operator Certification Licenses in  Water Treatment, Water Production, Water Distribution, and Waste Water Collection 


·CDL Class A
