Sales Manager – Home Care / Outside Sales
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead and drive revenue growth for our well-established Home Care organization. This leadership position is based in Gaithersburg, MD, and covers a designated sales territory that includes Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Howard, Prince George’s, and Anne Arundel counties. Candidates should either reside in this area or have plans to relocate.
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring consistent growth in the region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional looking to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and supportive company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of outside sales representatives, providing mentorship, training, and support to ensure success in driving revenue.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Cultivate relationships with discharge planners, case managers, social workers, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other referral sources.
- Meet with families to explain services, close sales, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sales efforts and team performance.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies and stay ahead of the curve.

Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 3-5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the healthcare or home care industry.
- Previous leadership experience managing a sales team is highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- College degree preferred (Associate or Bachelor's).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
