Job Description :

This position is a leadership role. The position requires an experience that demonstrates the following capabilities working inside an energized substations (13kV to 500kV) in close proximity to energized bus and equipment in a safe manner. The successful candidate will be required to work in south Florida with existing foreman to learn work methods for at least 3 months, maybe more depending on performance. The successful candidate must perform excellent work. As a reliable construction supervisor you will be overseeing and directing electrical substation construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the project in-depth, overseeing offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations for multiple crews in a service area. It will be important for you to be hands on for all projects. Projects will be throughout FL and travel is required. If you are comfortable with a leadership role, ready to jump in as needed plus work well with customers and staff; you would be perfect for this position!


 


Responsibilities:


-Oversee and direct construction projects for multiple crews from conception to completion


-Review the project in-depth to schedule deliveries and estimate costs


-Oversee all offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations


-Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors


-Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory


-Meet contractual conditions of performance


-Review the work progress on daily basis


-Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status


-Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones


-Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques


 


Required Qualifications :

-Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods


-Understanding of all facets of the construction process


-Familiarity with construction management software packages


-Ability to plan and see the “big picture”


-Competent in conflict and crisis management


-Leadership management skills


-Excellent time and project management skills


-Assemble three pole motor operated switches knowledge


-Install circuit switchers with shunt trip.


-Install copperweld grounding.


-Bend, fit, and install bus bar.


-Operate hypress. hydraulic Octupus bender.


-Operate magnetic drill for precision holes in structural steel.


-Operate hydraulic bus punch for NEMA 4 hole connections.


-Clean, grease, properly install bolts & Belleville washers, and torque high voltage connections
