The Commercial Lines Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of accounts. With our company, a Commercial Lines Assistant will work alongside Accountant Managers in servicing accounts. It is required to have a 2-20 insurance license prior to start this position. 

 

Responsibilities:


  • Check in all policies 

  • Process all carriers and finance cancellations and reinstatements 

  • Process non-renewals 

  • Request loss runs 

  • Process recommendation letters and underwriting memos 

  • Answer customer requests in a timely manner 

  • Issue certificates of insurance and auto ID cards 

  • Check in endorsements 

  • Process claims 

  • Process all premium audits 

  • Billing questions 

  • Return mail 

  • General client services

Required Qualifications :

  • High level of accountability 

  • Possess an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude 

  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills - Confident, self-starter who works well independently and as a group 

  • Property & Casualty insurance license (2-20 insurance license) required prior to start position 

  • Preferred 1 to 2 years prior of Property & Casualty experience, but not required 

  • Driven and goal-oriented 

  • Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations 

  • High sense of urgency 

  • Ability to multi-task effectively
