Job Description :

Local well-established Martin County company seeks a fulltime bookkeeper for their downtown Stuart business. This position will require acute attention to detail and keen mathematical skills.  


Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Work within QuickBooks Pro

  • Create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets & create graphs

  • Import and reconcile multiple accounts

  • Track collections weekly

  • Prepare and present reports to owners

  • Prepare contracts for service

  • Produce payments for AP and cut checks

  • Track and order business supplies (office supplies) and inventory 

  • Create custom reports from QuickBooks

  • Prepare and print payroll

  • Manage sales and employment tax payments


This company believes in a fostering a clear, direct and open communication style with a team atmosphere.  Traditionally, this company will require a 5-day, fulltime work week with normal business hours of 8:30 am – 5:00pm, but there is an opportunity to flex those days to include Saturday with a weekday off.

Required Qualifications :

1) Advanced knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft office suite.

2) Clear communication skills written and oral.

3) Attention to detail

4) Professional attire and appearance at work

5) Proficient mathematical skills

6) Be self motivated 

7) Have a clear understand of payroll and filing of employment tax payments

8) Clear understanding of Sales tax payment

9) Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
