Job Description :
This is an aprox 90 day temp position while an employee goes on medical leave beginning in April. Please keep in mind this position can open the door to additional possibilities within the company. 

 

Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for processing new applications, screen applicants, and collect all documentation for all independent contractors. This process must be in compliance with federal, state requirements. Know and understand Nurse Registry requirements to remain compliant with all federal, state and local agencies regarding independent contactors' credentials. 




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the company's policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments and registry regulations.


 


■ Greeting the caregivers and assisting them in the process


■ Accept new applications, screen applicants and collect all documentation as required by the Registry, federal, state and local laws and regulations on a daily basis to register caregivers and keep their files in compliance.


■ Know and understand Nurse Registry Regulations and remain compliant with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
■ Be knowledgeable of registration and orientation process for independent contractors.
■ Review all Registry and state policies and procedures with all new independent contractors.
■ Maintain accurate and updated caregiver records as defined by state regulations and agency policy. This includes, but is not limited to: compliance with in­services; credential/certification requirements, W-9, references from previous employers, background checks, and professional liability insurance requirements.
■ Update computer with all new independent contractor documentation and do follow up with letters and phone calls on a monthly bases to ensure they are kept in compliance.
■ Keep Customer Service and Staffing Representatives informed of new aides and current aides with documents that are expiring.


Required Qualifications :

Ensure all document updates are received by deadline and inform Administrator and Customer Service and Staffing Representatives of independent contractors being inactivated for failure to update documents.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Conduct periodic file audit to ensure files are in compliance.
• Liaison between Customer Service, Staffing Representatives and caregivers.
• Set up necessary classes for CEU's.
• Assist with the recruitment of field personnel.
